Are Acupuncture needles safe?
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates acupuncture by requiring that needles be sterile, prepackaged, and not reused. All licensed acupuncturists follow these standards and regulations.
Do the needles hurt?
Some people are afraid acupuncture will be painful. I have found over the years that sensitivity to needle pressure varies greatly among individuals. Most people experience no pain. Others report minimal discomfort. I consult with clients throughout their treatment to insure comfort and awareness.
What if I am afraid of needles?
If someone has a fear of needles, I’m able to offer acupressure as an alternative treatment.
How many sessions do I need in order to start feeling the benefits?
Some people may feel the effect of acupuncture after one session. For others the response is gradual. In general you should notice changes in your condition within four to six treatments. If you are not seeing benefits and have concerns, alternative therapies may be advised.
How should I prepare for a treatment?
There is no preparation necessary for our treatments.
How much does it cost?
Each treatment will cost $65.00. Your first visit includes the initial planning and evaluation to develop a healing plan to reach your needs and goals. Cash, check, debit/ credit accepted.
What Insurance is Accepted?
I accept most insurance plans for Acupuncture only. I accept most insurance plans for Acupuncture only. Insurances that I accept but are not limited to are: Premera, Group Health, Group Health options, Lifewise of Washington, Uniform Medical Plan, United Healthcare and Regence.
